The López-Wagner Strategies team conducted a preliminary analysis of the labor rights and justice issues in Puerto Rico – issues faced by union and non-union workers, as well as their communities. The work, which began in the Spring of 2024, recently culminated with the delivery of these findings in May 2025.

As advocates and leaders rally in person and virtually in support of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the following is a statement from our agency’s principal and founder, Betsy López-Wagner.

Our team is in solidarity, these illegal firings must be reversed.

As February begins and we settle into 2025, the López-Wagner Strategies team is taking a moment to reflect on the past year – our work, our impact, and the lessons that continue to guide us forward. Recognizing the tumultuous time we are in and the threats to causes we hold dear, we know that reflection is a powerful tool for growth and resilience.
